After Vicky had completed her meetings, we drove on towards Surfers Paradise. I had this preconceived idea that it was a sort of seaside resort with a couple of high rises. I was wrong it. It is very much along the lines of a Spanish resort with multiple high rise hotels and holiday apartments. The promenade was well landscaped and we walked along the beach front. We were feeling a bit peckish so we went over to a beach bar and had some food. The cheesy steak sandwich was very nice indeed and washed down with a Corona and lime. Very much appreciated.
